It was extremely good; very friendly and helpful staff. Location was excellent - in the old town with the bus stp to Al Hambra and other sites right outside the front door. We would certainly recommend it to other travellers.
I can recommend this hotel especially to honeymooners. We have stayed in a beautiful, comfortable, clean, and quiet room. Breakfast was very good as well.
View from bedroom window.. Decor marvelous, Atmosphere.
Coffee was rather too brewed. Had become used to fresh brewed each time,
good quality rooms, access to local eating places, handy for the mini bus to Alhambra and city. Safe car parking
No it was just what we needed
the staff were extreme,y helpful with directions and ideas for tourists. tasty breakfast and good location although a bit tricky to findinitially.
This hotel was absolutely charming: we had the best room in the hotel (The Tower Room - No 11) at a bargain rate. We cannot speak too highly of the helpfulness and courtesy of the staff of what is a genuine family-run hotel, and aesthetically most pleasing being buit around an Arabian-style courtyard. It is in an excellent location and our room had a marvellous view of the city and Alhambra. We would regard this hotel as an absolute 'find' and recommend it wholeheartedly. There's also an exellent restaurant 3 minutes' walk away - El Aji - and another one across the Square which we didn't try. (I very much regret, in the rush of dashing off to catch a plane, forgetting to say these nice things in the guest book).
There are two cautionary comments: (i) the location involves what might to some be a challenging drive along seriously narrow roads. The hotel provides an excellent map but you must follow it precisely; and (ii) although it is close to the Alhambra you have to go into town and out again to get to it. There is, however, a very good door-to-door bus service (No 32) which will get you there with ease. Don't think of driving.
We really appreciated the welcome: the guy at the reception was very kind and gave us a lot of detailed and useful tourist information. The hotel is located few steps from the view point San Nicolas, from where you have an astonishing view of the Alhambra. It is an old typical building, with a nice patio inside. The room was not so big but provided of all the facilities we needed, free Internet included. Unfortunately the Wifi signal was quite poor due to very thick walls, but they gave as a cable and the problem was solved. I also appreciated the fresh fruit I could eat at breakfast.
The hotel itself was beautiful; both common spaces and our private room. It was a nice touch to have the wine and chocolate in the lounge. Also, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Great location. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.
Some difficulty accessing WIFI in the hotel room
I liked most that familiar and amazing cosy atmosphere. In every room you notice the love for details what makes the guest very welcome and makes him feeling home.
The helpfulness of the staff was second to none - they were pleasant, helpful and patient. The room was delightful with all necessary comforts. The breakfast was one of the best I have had and offered a range of healthy and wholesome foods as well as traditional tea and coffee.
the location was superb! the bus stopped just 50 feet from the door!..the inclusive breakfast was also very convenient!...staff was beyond helpful and exceedingly patient.
The hotel had such charm and character particularly the central courtyard with the tinkling fountain
The bathroom was functional, but did not reflect the style of the rest of the hotel.
The hotel has been beautifully and very tastefully renovated, the staff are very helpful, and the location (and parking) near the Alhambra are very good indeed.
The staff were extremely friendly, they even called restaurants to make reservations for us. Parking was no hassle in the private garage, but getting there was quite the experience. Follow the map they give you and don't second guess it. We made several wrong turns because some of the roads we were supposed to turn on looked like pedestrian walkways, but they are indeed roads! Our GPS did eventually get us back on the right path. The hotel is gorgeous... we had some down-time so I sat on the bench in the hallways and did a watercolor of the courtyard, it was so nice. The bus stop is right by the hotel and taking the bus to either the Alhambra or town center is easy, the hotel staff explained it to us.
The hotel is in the Albaycin district, which supposedly can be a little dangerous at night, though we had no problems. One time, though, someone was emptying sewage into the street as we were trying to walk to a restaurant, and we had to walk through it.
Wonderful room and great location near San Nicolas with Alhambra view. Reception was very kind and the hotel itself was enough to feel true Andalusia Granada house. The room decoration felt so good and comfortable. All wooden materials door , stairs were great, too. I'll definately go again this place when I have a chance to visit Granada.
